Study Tour and Exchange of French Therapeutists and CEMETRA of Fatick
February 16-24, 2007 - 20 French therapeutists, under
the lead of the Association
Feminin Pluri'ailes
and PROMETRA
France,, participated in a study tour whose purpose was to invite everyone towards a
better apprehension of the universe of African therapy through the
experience of PROMETRA International and the Healers Association
“Malango” of CEMETRA (Experimental Center for Traditional Medicines) of
Fatick.
Such
a project lies within the scope that the international network of
PROMETRA manages with the actors of several cultural scientific
diffusion, medical practice, and research sectors.
The event is all the more singular as it intervenes in the context of
the celebration of the 60th edition of the Ndëpp ritual of Maam Cumba
Lamba officiated in the town of Rufisque by the priestess heiress
Oulimata DIOP. The participative support of the French therapeutists
contributed to the success of the commemoration of the memory of Aji
Fatou Seck, founder of the Ndëpp ritual.

PROMETRA International was charged to supervise the execution of the
study tour, to animate the training sessions and exchanges retained at
the intention of the visitors under the topic: "Medicine and
Spirituality - Meeting with Healers seereer and Ndëpkat lebu."
The French therapeutists went to Senegal to learn in humility near
others, but they brought as much through their rich individual
experiences as they agreed to share with their hosts.
