Cultures - Neglected Science
The rehabilitation of this ignored, forgotten, neglected science, is an absolute necessity if we want that people find their harmony, can best be located, can know where they come from and where they go. We can give several examples among which:

The XOY

There are in Senegal, great masters seers known as the Saltigi doing public seeing sessions to enable them to predict with precision events, upcoming events on at least 12 months. These are opportunities to make revelations as far as health is concerned and to prevent such and such epidemic. In these revelations, they say at the same time what it takes to prevent catastrophe. There will be cholera, put such roots in your jars, your well to prevent the disaster. There will be epidemics of conjunctivitis, put some flowers in your eyes, or some other plant in your drinks, etc. These are also opportunities to address social and economic issues. There will be locusts; we will send them to sea to commit suicide. In 2006, the Saltigi saved Senegal from famine, by sending locusts to suicide in the sea, through a forgotten and little known science.

The NDEPP

There is also another science which is called Ndëpp, that one can be defined as an ethnopsychiatry of group, which allows since mists of time, with a Senegalese ethny called Lebu, using dance, rhythm, trance to heal the disease, to initially extirpate the bad out of the body of the patient to put it in the body of a sacrificed animal. They are practices where one sees immediately, in some 8 days ritual, a completely and associable mentally ill person, completely aggressive, to find its recovery. These are sciences that we try to rehabilitate.

The LUP

It is an ancestor of Ndëpp which is practised in seereer country. We have others practise under other areas which are the work of Puhento, Bokonon, Vodunonn, Sanusi, etc They are people who have the possibility, through the ritual to communicate with the transcendence, to change level and to go to collect accurate information to clarify the human condition in extremely multiple and varied fields.

This science would gain much in this world context where everyone seeks to rehabilitate, to protect the traditional knowledge, the genetic resources and the folklore, to bring to the world in full change where the Cartesian system shows its limits, to really brake the endogenous development of Man.

The FA is an African science whose logic is relevant to the symbolic classifications. It interrogates meridians through which, human beings establish at birth, their link with the natural surroundings that welcome them. It is an elastic environment in continuous vibration due to the energy that allows the gyration, the movement of components of the biosphere.

The human being cannot escape this rule of logical setting in relation with the meridian of the biosphere. Furthermore, the human being is in the present, in connection with the past and the future. The human being is described through the vertical and horizontal relations with one’s own individual cycle of life.

Current DNA researches have demonstrated that the biologic genealogy derives from the human anteriority background which is connected to the forthcoming posterity. At the vertical level, the human being is connected to his most remote forebears but also to his progeny. At the horizontal level the human being spreads through the widening of ties interfering with the relationship within the lineages of fatherhood and motherhood.

The FA takes into account all this dimension of the human being described as an organic, physical, psychic and spiritual entity. This conception differs from the one of the conventional science that makes the body, a house in which the human being lives!

The civilization of Tado has stamped the apogee of the FA and rooted it in the Gulf of Benin, while the sea brought it until the Seereer country of the Siin in Senegal and also beyond the Atlantic Ocean.

In its traditional thought, the FA led to a conceptualization of the universe that the symbolic of the Voodoo demonstrates through a classification of the spiritual Energy forces. There are 16 major spiritual forces that are combined into a spectrum of 240 minor spiritual forces.
