Real History of Africa

From deformation to deformation, the continent, mother of civilization, passed today, for one where the spirit has never shone. Following numerous recent works, his children, who have become amnesiac, begin to regain memory.

Africa is not only the cradle of humanity, but the cradle of civilization.

The continent has made crucial contributions to universal civilization in the field of exact sciences.

In the field of mathematics:

In geometry

The Greeks explicitly admitted that the Egyptians were their masters in geometry, and that it came to Greece from Egypt and not from Babylonia.

Indeed, an empirical geometry, using recipes like Babylonian geometry, will not lead to formulas as exact as those of Egypt.

We readily admit that the Egyptians surely knew particular cases of the so called theorem of Pythagoras, but we admit that they have demonstrated it in the general case.

There is for this purpose a unit of Egyptian length, the precise definition of which leaves no doubt as to the knowledge of the hypotenuse theorem and the existence of the irrational numbers: it is the double-remen. The double-remen is the length of the diagonal of a square with side a = one cubit (royal).

In trigonometry

The Egyptians are the first inventors of trigonometry. Many problems all relate to the calculation of the trigonometric lines: sine, cosine, tangent, cotangent. Each time, two trigonometric lines are given, and the third is to be determined. Often it is a matter of calculating the slope of a pyramid, therefore, a tangent.

The scribe equates the height of the pyramid with the sine axis, and the cosine with half the parallel to the side of the base square, passing through the center of the square.

The Egyptians mastered geometric and arithmetic progressions.

The Egyptian influence in Pythagoras was so strong that he and his school, despite the difference in language and writing, used in their pre-algebraic mathematical notations the Egyptian hieroglyphic signs: the hieroglyphic sign of water (--) precisely symbolized the progressions of numbers.

Algebra

The Egyptians invented algebra. The series of problems of PMR, designated by the Egyptian term Aha, quantity in the more general sense, are problems of algebras where the unit plays exactly the role of the unknown (X) of modern algebra.

It is important to remember that while the Greek Athenian state traditionally persecuted philosophers and scholars, the Egyptian state always favored the development of science, philosophy and letters. As much in mainland Greece, science, philosopher and state remained contradictory almost until the end of the history of the Indo-European city-state, just as in Egypt, science and state were inseparable.

Most of the scientists who made the scientific reputation of Greece were persecuted and fled this country to take refuge in Egypt. Almost all have completed a training trip to Egypt.

Anaxagoras, Socrates, Aristotle, Plato were persecuted or else fled Athens to escape persecution.

Medicine

There is almost unanimity on the fact that in this particular field in that of bone surgery, the Egyptians had the scientific level since the old empire.

The father of medicine is not Hippocrates, but Imhotep.
